Biography/History

72 year old R.C. Blue Jr. is the founder of the National Indpendent Singers, a group of men who have been singing together since the early 1940s. Blue began singing gospel in Alabama and after moving to Detroit, organized the group so he could continue. William West, 66, is the group's manager and a member for more than 35 years. Originally from Arkansas, West was influenced by the great groups of the 1930s and 1940s.
