Jack Beard was from Newcastle, New Hampshire and attended the University of Maine at least during 1976. He conducted interviews for oral history classes taught by Sandy Ives, which became part of the Airline Road/ Airline Community Project and the Argyle Boom collection. He was also involved in creating the film, The Maine Lumberman, 1900-1920 in 1977.
