Fatima Vejzovic is a Bosnian weaver living in Hartford CT since 2001. She lived in Tuzla before the war, and came to the US as a refugee with her family. She learned weaving from her mother and others in the family, and knows the entire process from raising sheep, preparing the wool, dying and spinning the wool, and weaving cilimi, carpets, of varying sizes. her husband builds her looms. Her daughter Fikreta Muratovic also weaves.
