Candyce Testa is a Mashantucket Pequot educator and artist living on the reservation near Ledyard CT. She learned methods of Southern new England native storytelling, and developed a story about the Great Cedar Swamp at Mashantucket, working with master Connecticut native storyteller Trudie Lamb Richmond, inthe Southern New England Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program, Year 15, 2012-2013, and Year 16, 2013-2014.
