Biography/History
Brandy Trygstad is a PhD student in German Linguistics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  Her dissertation will focus on the phonetics and interactional features of non-seriousness (humor) in German conversation.  Her interests include language in interaction and phonetics/phonology, both in Germany and in Germanic heritage communities in the United States.
