The Sterling Weed Collection consists of 15 ten-inch lacquer instanteous disc recordings created by Sterling Weed (1901-2005) of Saint Albans, Vermont. Over the course of his long life, Weed performed with a range of dance bands including a family orchestra, Sault's Orchestra and Weeds Imperial Orchestra. For many years Weeds Imperial Orchestra was the Sunday night house band aboard the Lake Champlain cruise ship, the Tichonderoga. Weed also worked as a private music instructor and a band teacher for Bellows Free Academy in Saint Albans, VT and Fairfax High School in Fairfax, VT

The Sterling Weed Collection was donated to the Vermont Folklife Center by the Saint Albans Historical Museum. Additional materials relating to the life and work of Sterling Weed are on display there in the Sterling Weed Room
