Carroll C. Noyes was born in Crystal, Maine and moved to Carthage, Maine as an adult. His father ran a small lumber camp at Grand Lake Sebois and Carroll worked in it. His family mostly owned lumber mills. He had one brother and one sister. He was married and had at least one child, a daughter.
