Biography/History

Cynthia Thayer was born in New York City in 1944 and grew up in Nova Scotia. She graduated from Bridgewater State College in Massachusetts with a degree in literature and taught high school English and theater before moving to Maine in 1976 to begin farming. She currently owns Darthia Farm in Gouldsboro, Maine and also works as a writer and a spinner.
