Biography/History

Obituary: Born Nov. 23, 1936, in Kansas City, Kan., she was daughter of the late Earl Bradley and Elverna Percy Henning. On Jan. 26, 1958, in Columbia, she married Lloyd Ellsworth Shepard, who preceded her in death. She taught home economics and briefly worked as a substitute teacher. She and her husband owned and ran a German heritage museum, the Lohoefener House, in Concordia for about 10 years. She volunteered for Head Start, Girl Scouts, Friends of the Library and in programs of the First United Methodist Church, of which she was a member. She received a bachelor's degree in home economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
