An extensive collection of interviews with individuals who lived or worked around Lake Champlain (Vermont, USA). Portions of many of these were used in public programming.In the 1860's, Burlington was the 3rd largest lumber port in the U.S. and Lake Champlain was a busy hub of commerce including transportation of goods and people, commercial fishing and smuggling. Today, the Lake is used mostly for recreational purposes. Much of this change has occurred within living memory
