Collector presents seven folk tales collected from Deadheads with four motifs: Free Show, Miracle Show, First Show, Really Good Show. Author asserts the folk tales inform non-Deadheads about the shows, extends ? status in Deadhead hierarchy, and help bind Deadheads by keeping the Grateful Dead spirit alive.
