Scope and Content Note
Materials include project field report, audio recording logs, survey forms, project article, photo log, release forms, photographs, program, invoice, resume, and project proposal. Interviews recorded on seven cassette tapes. Digital materials include interview logs, field report, invoice, photo log, question template, altar essay, and sixty-seven photographs in JPEG format. Digital copies of interviews also available.

Administrative/Biographical History Element
Undertaken by Emma Tomingas-Hatch in 2009, this project documented the Vietnamese of Southern Louisiana through 8 interviews and two cultural events--Lunar New Year at Tam Bao Temple in Baton Rouge and a Catholic Retreat held at a Vietnamese Hall in Abbeville. Ms. Tomingas-Hatch's article, "Preserving Vietnamese Culture and Language in Southern Louisiana: Altars as Symbols of Identity" may be accessed through the New Populations page of the Louisiana Folkilfe website.
