Summary

This collection includes interviews, photos, music samples, and related materials documenting the Welsh-heritage-influenced hymn singing events—or “gymanfa ganu”—in the Remsen area in the southwest part of New York’s North Country. These materials were gathered as part of a broader project documenting music in and around the Black River Valley region of Northern New York.
