The Ohio Field Schools Collection contains audio interviews, photographs, fieldnotes, and ephemera collected by CFS faculty and staff, and graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in the Ohio Field Schools course. The project, sponsored by a generous gift from the Columbus Foundation in 2016, asks the question: How do Ohioans create a sense of place in a changing environment?
All materials collected by faculty, students, and staff for the field schools are reviewed by the individuals interviewed prior to making them available to the public.
Full copies of the Ohio Field School Collection are maintained at the following local repositories:
1. Portsmouth Public Library
2. 14th Street Community Center (located at 14th and Waller in Portsmouth, Ohio)
3. Shawnee State Park Nature Center
4. Andrew Feight, Professor of History, Shawnee State University (for his Scioto Historical project)
