Administrative/Biographical History Element
This New Populations project was carried out by Jun Zou in 2006 and 2007. Through eight interviews of community members in their homes and documentation of two local Chinese cultural events, Zou aimed to present this population from both public and personal perspectives. The two documented events were the Moon Festival Party and the celebration of Chinese New Year.

Jun Zou's project article, "Moon Cakes, Knotting, and Feng Shui: A Peek of Chinese Culture in Baton Rouge, Louisiana" is available on the New Populations page of the Louisiana Folklife Program's website.
