Biography/History

Walter Scott was born near Chester, Maine. He worked on the North Lincoln sorting gap in 1902 at the age of ten. He worked on river drives on the Mattawamkeag and Penobscot Rivers beginning around 1908, when he was fifteen or sixteen. In 1976, he was living in Winn, Maine.
